If you study at PSG Arts College instead
PSG College of Arts and Science is a separate college. Its official site gives the address as Civil Aerodrome Post, Coimbatore 641014, which is the same pincode as the Dr Jaganathan Nagar listings above. So a PG near PSG Arts College is more likely to be in 641014 than behind PSG Tech.

What does the bus to PSG Tech cost from Ganapathy or Siddhapudur?
If you live 1 to 3 km out, budget for a town bus. Tamil Nadu's state transport fare page lists a monthly travel as you please ticket of Rs 1,000 in Coimbatore, which works out to about Rs 45 per class day. Women ride ordinary state buses free, so for them the daily bus cost is zero.
The arithmetic, using the Arasu Bus fare and concession page run by Tamil Nadu's state transport undertakings and assuming 22 class days a month:
- Monthly ticket: Rs 1,000 ÷ 22 days = Rs 45.45, so about Rs 45 a class day. Over a full year, Rs 1,000 x 12 = Rs 12,000.
- Women on ordinary town buses: the State Planning Commission's Vidiyal Payanam page says the scheme waives fares for women in ordinary fare state-owned buses. Rs 0 x 2 trips x 22 days = Rs 0 a month.
- Student concession: the same fare page lists a 50% travel concession for students of private colleges and private engineering colleges. Ask the PSG Tech office whether your course qualifies before you buy the full Rs 1,000 ticket.

- Attendance risk. PSG Tech requires 75% attendance in each course to sit the semester exam, so avoid a room that depends on one crowded bus route.
- Exam-season quiet. The college hostel keeps 9.00 pm to 6.00 am as a silence period. A PG with working tenants may not, so ask about noise and power backup.
- Crossing Avinashi Road. Many of the nearest addresses sit on or off Avinashi Road. The college's own hostel rules tell residents to use the road over bridge to reach college; walk the PG route once and see where you would cross.
- Pincode on the agreement. Confirm the address reads Peelamedu, Coimbatore 641004 (or the pincode you expect).
