Laxmi Nagar is east Delhi's most notable PG and coaching hub. The area around the Blue Line metro station is packed with CA, CS and competitive exam coaching centres, drawing thousands of students from across north India. The main Vikas Marg road is commercial; residential PGs line the inner lanes.
Kamla Nagar sits directly opposite Delhi University's North Campus, making it one of the city's densest PG zones. Shops, photocopy centres, eateries and coaching classes line the main road. Vishwavidyalaya Metro (Yellow Line) is a five-minute walk.
Dwarka is a large planned sub-city in south-west Delhi with numbered residential sectors, district centres and institutional areas. The Blue Line runs through multiple Dwarka sectors, and the Airport Express connects at Dwarka Sector 21. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, NSIT and several coaching centres anchor student demand.
Rohini is a large planned sub-city in north-west Delhi with numbered sectors, commercial centres and institutions. The Red Line terminates at Rithala in Rohini, and Metro Walk Mall and Adventure Island near the station are local landmarks. Several colleges and coaching centres operate within the sectors.
South Extension (usually called South Ex) is divided into Part I and Part II on either side of Ring Road. It is one of south Delhi's premium shopping districts with branded stores, restaurants and professional offices. The Pink Line's South Extension station provides metro access.
Mukherjee Nagar is north Delhi's UPSC coaching capital. Vajiram, Drishti and dozens of smaller institutes draw thousands of civil-services aspirants each year. The area sits between GTB Nagar Metro and the Outer Ring Road, with autos and buses running frequently to North Campus and Model Town.
GTB Nagar (Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar) is wedged between North Campus and Model Town, anchored by its Yellow Line metro station. DU students, coaching aspirants and young professionals working in north Delhi fill the PG market here.
Uttam Nagar is one of Delhi's most low-cost PG areas, popular with students and migrant workers on tight budgets. Two Blue Line stations (Uttam Nagar East and West) provide direct metro access to Rajiv Chowk and Dwarka. The area is densely built with narrow lanes and mixed residential-commercial streets.

Advisory
Most listings on this page are men-only or co-ed properties across Delhi. Boys hostels here run leaner than the women-only equivalents (more three- and four-sharing rooms, fewer staffed gates, later or absent curfews) and they price accordingly. Confirm the security, meals and room-sharing arrangement instead of assuming that every quoted rent includes the same services.
The city's rent band is ₹6,000 – ₹17,000 a month. In Laxmi Nagar, Kamla Nagar, Dwarka and Rohini you will find both ends of it on the same street, so compare the room you are actually being shown rather than the photographs: how many beds are in it, whether the rent includes electricity in summer, and whether laundry and housekeeping are billed on top.
We list 574 properties in Delhi, Delhi NCR. Contact goes straight to the operator: no brokerage, no agent, and no fee for using the filter above.
The same building in Laxmi Nagar, Kamla Nagar, Dwarka and Rohini will quote very different rents for a single, a twin and a four-sharing room. Confirm the occupancy of the specific room you are shown, not the block, and ask whether the operator can move another resident in later without your agreement.
The most common surprise in Delhi is a room advertised inclusive of utilities that meters air-conditioning separately from April onward. Ask whether electricity is included, whether AC rooms are metered, and what a typical peak-month bill came to last year.
Boys hostels here vary from open 24 hours to a hard 11pm lock. If you work shifts or study late, confirm the gate policy and who holds the key after hours before you pay anything.
Expect one to two months' rent as deposit. Ask in writing what is deducted for wear and repainting, how many days' notice releases it, and whether any part is non-refundable regardless of condition.
Establish whether meals are included or a separate mess subscription, how often rooms and bathrooms are cleaned, and whether laundry is in-house or billed per load. Confirm every recurring charge before you commit.

Delhi NCR
Delhi NCR is India's largest urban agglomeration for rental accommodation, spanning Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. The region hosts over 20 major universities including Delhi University, JNU and Jamia Millia, alongside corporate corridors in Cyber City Gurugram, Connaught Place and Noida's IT sectors. PG and hostel prices vary dramatically by location, south Delhi commands premium rents while east Delhi and outer Noida sectors offer more low-cost options. Most PGs include meals, Wi-Fi and basic furnishing, though inclusions differ widely. Metro transport links is a major factor: areas along the Blue, Yellow or Magenta lines see higher demand and slightly higher rents than those further from stations. Comparing specific localities rather than broad city labels is essential, since a few kilometres can mean a large difference in rent, commute time and daily convenience.

Common questions
Delhi rents run ₹6,000 – ₹17,000 a month. Four-sharing rooms without meals sit at the floor of that band; single rooms with food and air-conditioning sit at the top. Confirm the occupancy of the room you are actually shown before comparing prices.
Laxmi Nagar, Kamla Nagar, Dwarka and Rohini hold the largest share, since they sit closest to the colleges and workplaces most residents commute to. Compare the specific room, included services and payment terms before deciding.
It varies more than it does for women-only properties — some run open 24 hours, others lock the gate around 11pm. If you keep late hours, settle the gate policy and who holds the key before you pay.
Often only up to a cap. Air-conditioned rooms are commonly metered separately from April onward, which is the single most frequent billing surprise. Ask what last summer's peak-month bill came to for the room you are being shown.
