Most PGs near NSUT are in Dwarka around Dwarka Mor and in Uttam Nagar, both a short walk or ride from the Sector 3 campus. Listing snippets on Square Yards and 99acres (October 2026) show beds near Dwarka Mor from ₹6,000 in a twin room and ₹13,000 for a private room. If your permanent address is in Delhi or the NCR, plan on a PG from day one, because NSUT's hostel seats reportedly go by distance from home.
Key Takeaways
- NSUT reportedly allots hostel seats by distance from your permanent address, so Delhi and NCR freshers usually miss out.
- JAC Delhi 2026 counselling ran from registration on 28 May to a spot round from 23 to 31 July, so PG demand peaks from late June to August.
- Dwarka Mor on the Blue Line is the closest metro station. There's no Dwarka Sector 3 station.
- As of October 2026, Hostel360 lists 31 PGs and hostels within 1 km of NSUT and 105 within 3 km, with girls-only PGs the largest group.
- Delhi's PG regulation bill is still a proposal, so inspect the building and get deposit terms in writing.
Why Delhi and NCR freshers usually need a PG
NSUT reportedly has boys' hostels BH1 to BH4, with freshers placed in Ramanujan Hostel. According to admission aggregators, seats are allotted by distance from a student's permanent address, in this order of priority: DASA (overseas and NRI admissions), students from outside Delhi, NCR, far Delhi, and near Delhi. We couldn't confirm this on an official NSUT page, so check the hostel notice when it's released.
The effect is simple. If your family lives in Gurugram, Noida or anywhere in Delhi, you're near the bottom of the list, and the real choice is a long daily commute or a PG near campus. Coming from outside the NCR improves your odds considerably.
JAC Delhi counselling sets the PG calendar
NSUT fills its B.Tech seats through JAC Delhi counselling, and those dates decide when Dwarka's PGs fill up. The official JAC Delhi 2026 schedule ran like this:
- 28 May to 9 June: registration
- 17 June to 16 July: counselling rounds
- 23 to 31 July: spot round, held at NSUT
PG demand near campus peaks from late June to August. Use the time between rounds to shortlist two or three PGs, visit once your seat is confirmed, and avoid paying a full deposit before your allotment is final. Spot-round students arrive last, so expect fewer choices near Dwarka Mor by then.

Dwarka Mor, Sector 10 and the Blue Line
NSUT's address is Azad Hind Fauj Marg, Sector 3, Dwarka (NSUT location page), but there's no Dwarka Sector 3 metro station. Dwarka Mor on the Blue Line is the closest, and Dwarka Sector 10, also on the Blue Line, is nearby. That's why so many PG names near campus include "Dwarka Mor".
The Blue Line also makes the eastern side workable. Heading east from Dwarka Mor, it passes Nawada, Uttam Nagar, Janakpuri and Tilak Nagar, all areas where we list PGs. Vikaspuri has its own share of listings, but check how far each PG is from a station before you commit. For metro-friendly options across the city, see our guide to PGs near Delhi metro stations.

A safety walk-through for Dwarka and Uttam Nagar PGs
Building safety is a fair question anywhere in Delhi this year. On 6 September 2026, a five-storey boys' PG in Satya Niketan, near DU South Campus, collapsed and at least seven people died (Wikipedia; The Week, 29 September 2026). In response, Delhi proposed a Paying Guest Accommodation Regulation and Welfare Bill. It's a proposal only: as of 2 October 2026 it hasn't passed. BusinessToday and India TV (September 2026) report that it would bring PGRN registration within 90 days, rent bands by area, a deposit cap of three months' rent, CCTV plus a guard for PGs with 15 or more students, and inspections every quarter.
When you visit a PG near NSUT, use this list:
- Ask how many students live in the building and on each floor.
- Check for cracks, seepage, or upper floors that look newer than the rest of the structure.
- Test the way out: a clear staircase, a second exit and an extinguisher on your floor.
- For a PG with 15 or more residents, see whether CCTV and a guard already exist.
- Ask for a written agreement with the deposit amount, refund terms and notice period, and keep the deposit at or below three months' rent.
- Once registration begins, ask the owner for the PGRN number.
