For most students at Amity University Rajasthan, the practical answer is the campus hostel, not a PG. The campus is at Kant Kalwar on the Delhi-Jaipur highway, about 40 km by road from Jaipur, and as of October 2026 Hostel360 has no PG or hostel listings within 5 km of it. City PGs do exist, and a Jhotwara listing on CoFynd starts from ₹3,500 a month (accessed October 2026), but living there means a commute of roughly 40 km each way.

Key Takeaways

  • Amity University Rajasthan is about 40 km by road from Jaipur, around 35 minutes by car, at Kant Kalwar on the Delhi-Jaipur highway.
  • The campus has a 3,100-seat hostel for boys and girls with 24x7 security.
  • As of October 2026, Hostel360 has 0 listings within 1, 3 or 5 km of the campus.
  • If you must live in the city, the north side (Vidhyadhar Nagar, Jhotwara, Sikar Road) is the least-bad base, and it's still about 40 km away.
  • We couldn't find a published hostel fee, so get the current figure from Amity's admissions team.

Amity University Rajasthan is outside the city, not on Tonk Road

The campus address is SP-1, Kant Kalwar, RIICO Industrial Area, NH-11C, on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, according to Amity's about page. Some guides place it on Tonk Road or about 15 km from the city centre. That is wrong. Rome2Rio puts it about 40 km by road from Jaipur, roughly 35 minutes by car.

It's a 152-acre campus, established in 2008 and accredited NAAC A+ in September 2023, per Wikipedia. Jaipur's best-known student PG belts, such as Jagatpura, Malviya Nagar and Mansarovar, are on the south side of the city, which is the opposite direction.

Our listing data: nothing within 5 km of campus

As of October 2026, Hostel360 lists 0 PGs and hostels within 1 km, 0 within 3 km and 0 within 5 km of Amity University Rajasthan. We'd rather tell you that plainly than label city PGs 40 km away as "near Amity".

If someone offers you a room closer to the campus gate, treat it like any unlisted rental. Visit in person, get a written agreement with the rent and deposit, find out who else lives in the building, and check how you'd get to class and back after dark.

Why the 3,100-seat campus hostel is the sensible default

Amity's about page describes a "3100 seater on campus hostel for Boys & Girls" with 24x7 security. For a campus this far from the city, that changes the maths. Living on campus removes a daily round trip of around 80 km, keeps you close to labs and the library in the evenings, and gives parents a single, supervised address.

  • Time: even at 35 minutes each way by car, a city commute costs over an hour a day, and more by bus.
  • Safety: late labs and events are easier when there's no highway journey afterwards.
  • Simplicity: one fee, one set of rules and no landlord to vet.

We couldn't find an official hostel fee on Amity's website, so we haven't printed one. Ask admissions for the current hostel and mess charges, room types and refund rules, and get them in writing. Don't rely on figures from older blog posts.

If you still want a city PG: the commute trade-off

A city PG can make sense if you already have family in north Jaipur, want a particular room type, or don't get the hostel arrangement you wanted. Go in knowing what it costs in time.

Base yourself on the north side

Vidhyadhar Nagar, Jhotwara and the Sikar Road belt are on the north side of the city, the side facing the Delhi highway, though the commute is still about 40 km. Prices vary widely: one CoFynd listing, Shreeji Enclave 2 in Jhotwara, starts from ₹3,500 a month (accessed October 2026). Compare PGs in Vidhyadhar Nagar and PGs in Jhotwara before you decide.

Skip the south-side student belts

Jagatpura, Malviya Nagar and Mansarovar are popular with students at other Jaipur universities, but they're on the wrong side of the city for Amity. They aren't cheaper either: Mansarovar PGs on Square Yards ranged from ₹6,000 to ₹8,500 (updated September 2026), and Malviya Nagar listings on CoFynd start from ₹11,000 (accessed October 2026). Our guide to the best student areas in Jaipur explains where those neighbourhoods fit.

Getting there without a car

Rome2Rio shows a FlixBus option from Sindhi Camp to an "Amity University" stop. Check current timings yourself and do a trial run before term starts, because a bus that works for a weekend trip may not get you in for a morning lecture. Ask Amity whether it runs any transport from the city; we couldn't confirm that from official sources.

Questions parents should ask before deciding

  • Is a hostel seat confirmed for the first year, and which room types are available?
  • What are the current hostel and mess charges, and what's the refund policy?
  • If your child lives in the city, what's the realistic door-to-door time for an 8 am class?
  • Who would they call if they miss the last bus after a late lab?

For most families, the answer will be the campus hostel for at least the first year. If you do look in the city, start with our Jaipur PG and hostel listings, and read our boys' hostel guide and girls' hostel guide for what to check on a visit.
