Katraj is a large residential belt in south Pune, known for the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park and the cluster of engineering and management colleges along the Katraj–Dhankawadi corridor. PG and hostel rooms here are among the cheapest in the city, with frequent PMPML buses along Satara Road into the centre.
