Navrangpura is the student heart of Ahmedabad, sitting between Gujarat University and the CG Road commercial strip. Coaching centres, bookshops, and student canteens line its streets. PG demand is intense during academic seasons, driven by university students and competitive-exam aspirants. Rents are moderate and the central location provides good access to most parts of the city. BRTS stops on CG Road and Ashram Road make cross-city commuting straightforward, and the nightlife and café scene along CG Road adds an urban edge that most student areas lack.

Thaltej is a rapidly developing area at the SG Highway–Thaltej crossroads, with new residential projects, corporate offices, and retail outlets. PGs target IT professionals and students at nearby institutions including the DAIICT corridor. The area is more spacious and less congested than older Ahmedabad neighbourhoods, with newer buildings offering better amenities. Road access to Gandhinagar and GIFT City via the SG Highway is a practical advantage.

Memnagar is a central-west Ahmedabad area adjacent to Gujarat University, leaving it a natural PG magnet for university students and exam aspirants. The area is well connected by BRTS and city buses, with local markets and low-cost eateries serving a student budget. Rents are among the most reasonable in west Ahmedabad, which makes Memnagar especially popular with budget-conscious students. The university campus is walkable, and the nearby Vijay Cross Roads area offers shopping, cinemas, and services that cover everything a student needs day-to-day.

Bopal is a fast-growing suburb south of SG Highway, popular with IT professionals and young families for its newer services and gated residential projects. PG and co-living options are expanding as the population grows, with several purpose-built PG buildings now operating along the South Bopal–Ambli Road corridor. The area has modern comforts including supermarkets, gyms, cafés, and co-working spaces. Rents are moderate compared to SG Highway proper, and the SP Ring Road connection makes commuting to Gandhinagar and other Ahmedabad suburbs relatively straightforward.

Ambawadi is a mid-range residential area between Paldi and the western Ahmedabad corridor, close to the Nehru Bridge and Gujarat High Court. PGs attract working professionals and students who want a residential neighbourhood with decent transport links to both central and west Ahmedabad. The area has both older apartments and newer commercial developments, with local markets, eateries, and the Ambawadi garden with neighbourhood amenities.

Gurukul takes its name from Gujarat Vidyapith, the university founded by Mahatma Gandhi, and is a densely populated residential-commercial area along Drive-In Road. PG demand comes from university students, coaching aspirants, and professionals working along the SG Highway–Drive-In corridor. The area has an active market, a lively street-food scene anchored by the Gurukul Road stalls, and good BRTS metro access. Rents are moderate, and the area's central-west position means both CG Road and SG Highway are reachable within 15-20 minutes by auto.

Kankaria is centred around the historic Kankaria Lake, one of Ahmedabad's most popular recreational spots with a zoo, parks, and an amusement area. The surrounding neighbourhood is residential with a strong local commercial standing and good access to Maninagar and the old city. PGs attract students and workers who want low-cost east-Ahmedabad accommodation with the lakefront as a neighbourhood asset. Evening walks along the lake are a daily routine for most residents, and the area has a community feel that denser commercial zones lack.

Satellite is a mature west-Ahmedabad zone known for the Jodhpur Cross Roads area, Star Bazaar, and closeness to Iscon Circle and its temple. It is a bridge between the old-city-facing areas and the newer SG Highway corridor. PGs attract a spread of professionals and students, with moderate-to-high rents and good access to Prahlad Nagar's commercial zone. The BRTS network and frequent shared autos make commuting convenient, while the neighbourhood's mature trees and established markets give it a more settled feel than SG Highway's glass-and-concrete towers.
